Show Goals

When she picked up her numbers and registration package at the show, the lady asked if she was a junior or senior, and so she made jokes about what a success the day had been already.

His owner had him all tacked up and he warmed up nicely on the plateau, even giving good canter work and NOT trying to take off. he did however keep jumping the track, every time they were supposed to just cross it.

He must have got stung by a bee while they approached for their turn to go in, because he suddenly took a twitchy fit, shaking his skin like crazy and flipping his head and even doing a weird-totally-unlike-him buck, as they trotted around the dressage ring.

As they entered down the centre line he was crooked and not on the bit. when they halted he backed up several steps and then thankfully the test got better instead of worse. There were even a few nice moments. and besides, the goal of the phase was to "just get around."

They were BOTH looking forward to crosscountry!!!
